This is a wooden storage covered with beautiful silk Kimono.
The kind of wood is paulownia bark.
The silk is called "chirimen" and has a wrinkled texture like shrinkage.
The hilt depicts the scene of an old Japanese shipyard. I added an acrylic handle to the lid.
I wrap it in a way that makes it suitable for gifting, using washi paper and eco-friendly wrapping without using tape.
In Japan, kimonos have long been stored in drawers made from paulownia wood. The paulownia bark is white and light, beautiful and practical. I
transformed it into a small storage by wearing a kimono silk cloth.

❝BENEFIT ABOUT PAULOENIA TREES ❞
・Pauloenia trees absorb moisture in the air when the humidity is high, and release moisture when it dries. When it is damp, the air inside the box is lightly regulated and has an antifungal effect. In addition, when the paulownia box absorbs moisture, it swells slightly and the inside becomes almost sealed. It has insect-repelling effects because of its airtightness. We use chests made of pauloenia trees to store Kimonos in Japan.
