5-Due to stains and dirt, wearing it is up to the individual. Also recommended as fabric for crafting or for display purposes.

The obi is almost brand-new.

There is one area where a thread is sticking out, but it is not noticeable.

I repurposed an obi into a wall hanging. You can choose from three length options to fit your space. It will take one day to hand-sew a sleeve for inserting a bamboo rod.

This is a type of obi known as a maru obi, which is the most formal type of obi. It is traditionally worn by brides at weddings. The same design is featured on both sides of the obi. Due to the dense use of threads in its construction, it is quite heavy.

Since maru obi are worn by brides, they feature the most auspicious designs. This obi prominently showcases pine, plum, and bamboo, woven boldly and majestically. Known as the shochikubai（松竹梅） pattern, it has long been a symbol of good fortune in Japan.

Pine trees, with their evergreen leaves throughout the year, symbolize longevity and vitality. Bamboo, known for its rapid growth and straight posture, represents prosperity and elegance. Plum blossoms, which bloom early at the end of winter, signify hope, resilience, and good luck. The combination of these motifs creates a luxurious and meaningful design, making it perfectly suited for celebratory occasions.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

・Steam clean, wipe with a hot cloth, or dry clean is recommended.

・Ironing it on a medium-high setting. Garments may also be steamed in a moderate setting.

・Cover the table runner with a cloth when ironing.
