A B O U T

This fabric is used for the obi, the sash tied around the waist when wearing a traditional Japanese kimono.

It's the raw material before being crafted into an obi, hence the embroidery is exposed on the reverse side. The orange has a characteristic silk luster and brilliance that is beautiful. It features a popular fan pattern, with auspicious plum and pine motifs depicted within the fans. The pattern is large, making it stand out even from a distance.
