・Made from Silk

This is called a "juban," a type of undergarment worn between the kimono and the skin to prevent the kimono from getting dirty. The fabric is thin and delicate. The surface has a slightly rough texture. The same fabric is used for the inner side of the sleeves as well.

There is a small hole in the back of the left sleeve. The hole is not very noticeable and doesn't appear to be spreading. This juban (kimono undergarment) is likely around 60-70 years old. Juban from that era often feature high-quality silk, and this piece is no exception – the fabric is soft and supple to the touch. The vibrant red color is beautiful. The red fabric around the collar has been replaced with new material, so it's clean. The pattern features plum blossoms and maple leaves covering the entire garment, creating a very vibrant and festive look. Despite the hole, this is a truly excellent piece that is still very wearable.

・Dry clean is recommended.

・If the kimono gets stained, please gently pat the affected area with a towel wrung out in hot water.

・Ironing it on a medium-high setting. Garments may also be steamed in a moderate setting.

・Cover the table runner with a cloth when ironing.
