These placemats are made from obi, the belts worn around the waist like a belt when wearing a kimono. All the materials are silk. Since kimonos used for special occasions ('haregi') tend to have bright colors and auspicious designs, the placemats reflect this celebratory style.

1.Orange Geometric
This obi (kimono sash) features a skin-toned base with a kikkō (tortoise shell) pattern intricately embroidered across the entire surface. The kikkō design is based on the shape of a tortoise's shell. Because the tortoise is seen as protecting itself with its hard shell, this pattern symbolizes wishes for good health and prosperity. The fabric is silk. It is a soft material.
2.Gray and Wine Red: This is a casual obi (kimono sash) that is best suited for pairing with casual kimonos. The material is silk, but it has a slightly firmer texture. The combination of gray and wine-red hues is stylish and chic. The small floral petal pattern adds a touch of charm.
3.Orange with Cranes
