This is a type of kimono called a yukata, which is worn casually in the summer. Recently, yukatas made of polyester or stiff cotton have become popular, but this yukata is a traditional one made from soft, high-quality cotton. The pattern is also a classic, traditional design rather than a modern one. It has been cleaned, but there is some fraying visible on the upper part of the collar. Please refer to the last photo.

\Please be careful with the length/

*The length of a Kimono is typically around 60" to 63" or 150cm to 160cm. When purchasing a Kimono at a Kimono shop in Japan, people choose one that matches their height. The average height of Japanese women is 62.2" or 158cm, so many Kimonos are made around that length. Kimonos are designed this long because the fabric is tucked around the waist to adjust precisely to the ankles when worn.

** If you wear a Kimono as a jacket or coat, the hem may DRAG. Please check the length indicated in the "SIZE" section below and compare it with your jacket/coat if necessary.

*** If it is too long, I can cut the hem to create a midi-length Kimono. It comes with hoops and a belt at an additional cost of $20. Here is an image of a midi-length Kimono.

**** If you purchase the Kimono at its original length and would like belt hoops, I can add them for free.

*****Wondering how to wear a kimono? I have created a page with belt suggestions, so please take a look at it for ideas on how to wear a kimono as a jacket.

If you have any questions about Kimono, please feel free to ask me anything before making a purchase, no matter how small it may seem. I understand that you may not be familiar with Kimono, and I want to ensure that you feel confident and secure in your purchase!

\How to find your size?/

There are three points to measure.

1."Length" is from neck to the hem. Usually, kimonos are designed with a longer length to allow for careful folding and wearing around the waist area. If worn as is, like a robe, please be aware that it has a length that may trail on the floor.

2."Width is ""hip " but when you wear a Kimono as a robe or long jacket, it really does not matter since the front is open.

3."Yuki take" is important. It is from the root of your neck (or center of the spine) to the ankle of your wrist. It is close to 'sleeve length' with western clothes. To measure, raise your arms by 45 degrees (make "Y" shape with your arms) and measure from the neck root to the ankle of your wrist. Plus or minus 3cm (1.1") from the ankle of your wrist is a suitable length (it is depending on how you like). But since Japanese size tends to be smaller, it may be a bit short. But you can still enjoy it as is and look cool!

❝ CARE INSTRUCTIONS ❞

・Dry clean is recommended.

・If the kimono gets stained, please gently pat the affected area with a towel wrung out in hot water.
