Quality Kimono and Creative Kimono

Where Tradition Shimmers: Radiant Splendor from the Land of the Rising Sun.

GORGEOUS

Kimono

A kimono is a traditional Japanese garment, usually made of silk, known for its long, flowing silhouette and elegant design. It’s often worn with an obi (a wide belt) and layered over a juban (an undergarment) to protect the kimono and add comfort. Kimonos are typically long and can be quite heavy due to their double-layered structure, especially in formal styles.

EYE CATCHING

Juban

A juban, on the other hand, is a lighter, simpler undergarment worn beneath the kimono. It helps keep the kimono clean and comfortable while adding an extra layer for a more polished look. Unlike kimono, juban are often shorter and less ornate, made from lighter fabrics like cotton or synthetic blends.

Haori

A haori is worn layered over a kimono. It's considered a formal, stylish outer layer, and it's okay to keep it on even when you go inside someone's house. Since kimonos have that obi sash, which adds some bulk, haori are made to be roomy and a little bigger to fit comfortably over it. Plus, they have gussets under the arms, so it's easy to move around and they're nice and breezy to wear!

BEAUTIFULLY PATTERNED

Obi (sash)

The obi is a special belt specifically for kimonos. It's wrapped around the stomach twice, making it over 4 meters (13ft) long. The fabric is thick and has a firm texture. Choosing the right obi to match your kimono is considered so important that it can make or break the entire kimono outfit.

Handmade and Gift

Handmade items are all designed and made by StyleKimono. I'm super picky about only using high-quality kimons and obis in excellent condition. I use them to create things that bring a little bit of that traditional Japanese beauty into your everyday life. And if you're looking for a gift, I've got some add-ons and gift boxes available.
